Overview
This bill directs the New Jersey Department of Agriculture to promote New Jersey-produced liquors, beers, and wines through an expanded marketing program. It builds upon the existing Jersey Fresh program, which currently promotes fruits and vegetables, by incorporating alcoholic beverages made from state-grown agricultural commodities. The bill requires the department to establish a quality grading system for these products, similar to the one used for other agricultural goods. The original bill included a funding appropriation, which has been removed by committee amendments.
