Overview
This bill requires certain New Jersey law enforcement officers to complete specialized training on human trafficking. Specifically, officers responding to domestic violence or sexual assault cases must participate in training developed by the Police Training Commission. The bill also mandates training for hotel and motel staff and employees of licensed healthcare facilities, and judges, to improve awareness and response to human trafficking cases. Funding for these training programs will come from a dedicated fund.
