Overview
This bill requires the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), in collaboration with the State Parole Board, to conduct a comprehensive study of Megan’s Law. The study will examine the implementation and application of relevant laws, evaluate current procedures for risk assessment and community notification, and make recommendations for standardization and improvement. It will also assess the effectiveness of the Internet registry in informing the public about sex offenders.
