Overview
This bill requires New Jersey public schools to report certain assaults involving students to law enforcement. When a school employee becomes aware of an assault on school property, a school bus, or at a school-sponsored event, they must notify the principal, who then has a duty to immediately report the incident to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
