Overview
This bill allows New Jersey municipalities to create a special fund, called a dredging control reserve fund, to help pay for dredging projects. Money currently set aside for dredging can be moved into this fund, and the municipality can then use those funds for activities like removing sediment from waterways, improving related infrastructure, and managing dredged material. Any money spent from the fund would be replenished when the project is completed.
