Overview
This bill prevents the Department of Environmental Protection and other authorized enforcement agencies from issuing violations to trapping license holders for failing to check their traps within the required time frame. This applies specifically when the trap is located in an area currently under investigation by law enforcement and the licensee has been asked to leave by a federal, state, or local agent. The goal is to avoid penalties for license holders who are cooperating with law enforcement investigations. The bill takes effect immediately.
