Bill overview
This bill limits the types of unsolicited communications school boards can send to residents about the school budget in the 90 days leading up to an annual school election. It requires that any such communication be sent to all registered voters, contain only basic budget information (total budget, tax levy, and appropriation line items), and be limited to one page. The communication also cannot include the names or photos of board members. The law takes effect immediately.
