Bill overview
This bill establishes a process for notifying and allowing municipalities to review grant and loan applications for acquiring or developing land for recreation and conservation purposes. Municipalities will receive written notification of these applications and have 30 days to evaluate them. Their evaluation will be considered by the State Department of Environmental Protection or the county governing body when making a decision on the application. If a municipality doesn’t respond within 30 days, the State or county can proceed with their decision without further notification.
