Bill overview
This bill creates a process for New Jersey county colleges to offer bachelor’s degrees in specific applied science fields that are in high demand. County colleges can submit proposals to the New Jersey Presidents’ Council, which will review them and forward them to the Secretary of Higher Education for approval. The program must be accredited and limited to a maximum of three bachelor’s degrees per college. After seven years, colleges must report on the program’s success to the Governor and Legislature.
