Bill overview
This bill requires all pet shops, grooming facilities, and pet daycares in New Jersey to install and maintain video monitoring systems. These systems must continuously record activity in areas where animals are kept, groomed, or handled, and footage must be stored for at least 30 days. Animal care facilities are required to make this footage available to state departments and law enforcement during investigations of animal cruelty or other violations.
