This bill establishes the New Jersey-India Commission as a permanent body within the Department of State. The commission’s goal is to foster trade, investment, and cultural exchanges between New Jersey and India. It will be composed of both legislative and public members, appointed by the Governor, and will have the authority to raise funds and conduct research to advance mutual interests. The commission builds upon an existing executive order established in 2024.
