This bill expands the scope of practice for licensed acupuncturists in New Jersey. It allows them to perform or prescribe the use of tuina, shiatsu, and other Oriental massage techniques, as well as utilize adjunctive therapies like laser stimulation and herbal remedies. Furthermore, the bill grants acupuncturists the authority to order and perform a range of diagnostic tests, including X-rays and laboratory tests, and to prescribe and administer certain medications and therapies.
