Bill overview
This bill directs the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) to create a grant program for small businesses impacted by prolonged infrastructure or construction projects. Small businesses meeting specific criteria, such as being independently owned and having incurred less than $1.5 million in annual revenue, can apply for grants based on their operating expenses during an ‘extended closure.’ The state or responsible project entity will contribute funds to support the program.
