Bill overview
This bill creates a fund within the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to support Blue Acres acquisition and relocation projects. The fund will receive $25 million from the state’s general fund and be used to provide relocation assistance to homeowners and tenants displaced by Blue Acres projects, as well as cover the state’s costs associated with acquiring flood-prone land for these projects. Administrative costs for the fund will be capped at five percent of total revenue.
