Bill overview
This bill requires the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) and the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA) to create programs that exempt certain disabled veterans from E-ZPass tolls. To qualify, veterans must have a license plate displaying "Disabled Vet," an active E-ZPass account, and own or lease the vehicle. Veterans must first apply for the "Disabled Vet" license plate before applying for the toll exemption.
