Bill overview
This bill requires the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) to issue only one license plate per vehicle, instead of the current requirement of two. It mandates that the single plate be displayed on the rear of the vehicle. The bill also provides a process for vehicle owners who previously received two license plates to return one and use a single plate.
