Bill overview
This bill would require the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA) to temporarily suspend tolls on the Atlantic City Expressway east of the Garden State Parkway when U.S. Route 40 is closed in that area. The goal is to provide an alternative route for drivers when a major roadway is inaccessible due to closures or flooding. This suspension would occur automatically when U.S. Route 40 is closed east of the Parkway. The bill is currently pending technical review.
