Bill overview
This bill requires New Jersey school districts to include instruction on interacting with law enforcement as part of the state’s Social Studies curriculum. Students will learn about the roles of law enforcement, their responsibilities, and an individual’s rights when interacting with officers. An advisory committee will assist in developing age-appropriate curriculum materials for students in grades K-12.
