Bill overview
This bill designates May of each year as "Water Safety Month" in New Jersey to raise awareness about safe water practices and drowning prevention. It encourages the Department of Education to provide resources to schools, in partnership with nonprofits, to offer water safety education to students in grades kindergarten through five. The Department of Education is also encouraged to provide resources to public schools for water safety education.
