Bill overview
This bill increases the amount of money Nevada state agencies can accept as gifts or grants from nongovernmental sources. Currently, agencies can accept gifts up to $200,000, but this bill raises that threshold to $500,000. The bill outlines procedures for agencies to request and receive these larger gifts, including review by the Interim Finance Committee and approval by the Governor or the Chief of the Budget Division. Certain agencies and types of donations are exempt from this change.
