Bill overview
This bill modifies how the state budget incorporates collective bargaining agreements. It requires the Governor to include the agreed-upon amounts from these agreements in the biennial proposed executive budget, to the extent practicable. If including these amounts is impossible, the Governor must report the reason to the Legislature. The bill also adjusts deadlines for negotiating, mediating, and arbitrating collective bargaining agreements, moving key dates earlier in the year, and makes appropriations to relevant state agencies for personnel and operational costs.
