Bill overview
This bill establishes the New Jersey White Collar Crime Offender Registry Act, creating a public registry of individuals convicted of specific financial crimes. The Department of Law and Public Safety will develop and operate a website containing offender information, subject to a disclaimer prohibiting harassment. Individuals convicted of these crimes will be required to register, with the length of registration dependent on the number of offenses. A process exists for offenders to petition for removal from the registry, contingent on meeting certain criteria.
