Bill overview
This bill changes New Jersey’s financial disclosure requirements for local government officers. Currently, officers were required to disclose the address of their home or secondary residence, as well as the addresses of their immediate family. This bill removes that requirement, allowing officers to instead provide a brief description of the location – including the county and municipality – of their home or any residence where their family members may also reside. This change aims to protect the privacy of government officials and their families.
