Bill overview
This bill requires sellers of real property in New Jersey to disclose if a dam is located on the property. To ensure transparency, the Division of Consumer Affairs will work with several state agencies to update the standard property condition disclosure statement and make it available online. The bill also directs the Department of Environmental Protection to provide resources and information on dams, including how to determine if a dam is subject to state regulations, to potential buyers and sellers.
