Bill overview
This bill changes how stormwater management regulations apply to developments at commercial farms in New Jersey. It defines certain developments – those creating 1.25 acres or less of impervious surface – as not being ‘major developments,’ thus exempting them from the usual requirements and fees associated with stormwater management permits. The bill also allows the Department of Environmental Protection to create less stringent rules for these smaller developments, provided they are less strict than regulations for larger developments.
