Bill overview
This bill requires the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to publicly disclose the cost and the name of the consultant who prepared any reports for the board. When the BPU uses outside consultants to create reports, these reports must include the total cost of preparation and the consultant’s name on their cover or front page. The goal is to increase transparency regarding how ratepayer money is spent on BPU reports.
