Bill overview
This bill aims to support New Jersey’s agricultural sector by establishing a regional farm wage and providing tax credits to farm employers. The Department of Labor and Workforce Development will determine this wage based on data from neighboring states. Farm employers who pay their workers wages at or above the regional farm wage will be eligible for corporation business tax credits and gross income tax credits, calculated as the difference between actual wages and wages at the regional rate. The credits can be carried forward for a limited number of years.
