Overview
This bill changes the requirements for new motor vehicle dealer licenses in New Jersey. Currently, applicants must have a facility for both displaying and servicing vehicles. This bill allows applicants to use a facility primarily for either displaying or servicing vehicles, or to utilize attached space, a separate space on the same property, or an off-site facility within the dealer’s market area for servicing. The committee made several technical amendments and removed a provision regarding provisional licenses.
