Bill overview
This bill creates a grant program within the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety to provide thermal imaging body cameras, thermal imaging masks, and radio repeaters to fire departments serving large municipalities. Qualifying fire organizations, those protecting cities with 100,000 to 300,000 residents, will receive grants every three years to purchase this equipment. The program will be reviewed every five years to ensure equipment is up-to-date.
