Bill overview
This bill allows municipal courts in New Jersey to offer restricted use driver’s licenses to individuals whose licenses have been suspended. These licenses would permit driving only for employment or education-related purposes, subject to court approval based on financial hardship and the likelihood of re-offending. The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission would issue the restricted licenses and placards, and a fee of up to $100 would apply.
