Bill overview
This bill proposes a tax credit for New Jersey corporations with headquarters in the state. The credit would incentivize businesses to hire individuals who have lost their jobs due to automation. Corporations could receive a 10% tax credit for each employee hired who previously lost their job due to automation, up to a maximum of $2,500 per employee per year. The credit is intended to support workers impacted by automation and could be carried over for up to seven years if not fully utilized.
