This bill requires the president of Rutgers, The State University to appoint a chief viticulturist and a chief enologist. The chief viticulturist will lead research on grape science and production within the state, reporting directly to the university president. The chief enologist will be appointed to the Food Innovation Center and will assist New Jersey wineries with developing new wines and improving wine quality, reporting to the center’s director.
