Bill overview
This bill changes the rules for removing executive county superintendents of schools in New Jersey. Currently, they could only be removed for cause. This legislation allows the Governor to remove these officials at any time, ‘at will,’ before the end of their three-year term. The Governor’s decision would need Senate consent.
