Bill overview
This bill requires New Jersey schools to teach students in grades four through twelve about menstrual toxic shock syndrome (MTSS), including its causes, symptoms, and prevention. It also mandates that businesses with public women’s restrooms that have two or more toilets install signs alerting users to the risks of MTSS. The Department of Health will create informational materials and develop regulations to support these requirements.
