Bill overview
This bill requires the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to end the Infrastructure Investment Program (IIP). The BPU will no longer accept new IIP petitions or approve existing ones without a full rate review for the utility involved. Public utilities with pending IIP petitions must either incorporate their investment proposals into their next base rate case or provide all necessary information for a rate review within 90 days of a board order, or their petitions will be deemed retracted.
