Bill overview
This bill requires the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to create a priority registration period for permits at Island Beach State Park. During this period, only New Jersey residents can apply for or purchase permits. The DEP will restrict access to application systems to residents and verify their residency. After the priority period, any remaining permits will be available to non-residents under normal procedures.
