Overview
This bill allows the New Jersey Division of Taxation to share certain tax data with two state agencies: the New Jersey Innovation Authority and the New Jersey Secure Choice Savings Board. Currently, the Division’s records are considered confidential. The bill expands the Director’s authority to release this information to help the Innovation Authority improve government operations and the Secure Choice Savings Board manage the ‘Retire Ready NJ’ retirement program. This sharing of data is intended to enhance taxpayer services and program administration.
