Bill overview
This bill allows small businesses in New Jersey to qualify for low-interest loans from the Economic Development Authority (EDA) to cover the costs of energy audits and implementing energy efficiency or conservation improvements in their buildings. The EDA will establish a program in consultation with the Board of Public Utilities and the Department of Community Affairs to administer these loans. The loans can cover up to 100% of the costs associated with these improvements.
