Bill overview
This bill directs the Council on Food Security to conduct a study during the 2025-2026 legislative interim to assess food insecurity across Nevada and develop strategies for statewide coordination to address it. The study will evaluate existing laws, identify potential locations for community gardens and urban farms, examine the coordination of existing efforts, and recommend strategies for reducing food insecurity. The Council is required to submit a written report of its findings to the State Department of Agriculture and the Legislative Counsel Bureau.
