Bill overview
This bill clarifies and expands the authority for creating, managing, and altering conservation easements in Nevada. Currently, certain restrictions apply to who can perform these actions. This legislation removes those limitations, allowing any person – including state and local governments – to create, convey, record, or modify conservation easements in the same way as other easements. It also addresses the acceptance and duration of these easements to ensure clarity and stability.
