This bill establishes the Security Operations Center (SOC) within the Office of the Chief Information Officer to enhance cybersecurity for state agencies and elected officials. It creates a new account for the SOC’s funding, mandates cybersecurity policies and procedures, and expands the definition of ‘local governmental agency’ to include school districts. The bill also reorganizes provisions related to equipment and services provided by the Office and establishes a Cybersecurity Talent Pipeline Program.
