Overview
This bill restricts New Jersey Transit (NJT) from making significant changes to rail yards located near sensitive environmental areas. Specifically, it prohibits alterations to rail yards within the coastal area, those impacting the Barnegat Bay Estuary watershed, or those within 1,000 feet of certain wetlands or tidal waters.
