Overview
This bill authorizes the creation of special ‘250th Anniversary Revolutionary War’ license plates in New Jersey. The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) will issue these plates, which will be designed in consultation with the New Jersey Historic Trust. Applicants will pay an initial $50 application fee and an annual $10 renewal fee, with the proceeds deposited into a dedicated fund to support heritage tourism sites throughout the state. The MVC can only implement the program after receiving sufficient applications and funds to cover initial costs, which will be offset by contributions from the Historic Trust and potentially private sources.
