Overview
This bill will add two student representatives to the Board of Governors of Rutgers University. These student representatives will be full-time, enrolled students who are at least 18 years old and U.S. citizens. The Board of Governors must hold a public hearing within 90 days of the bill’s passage to determine how the student representatives will be elected, either by the entire student body or the student government association. The newly appointed student representatives will have specific limitations on participation in certain board matters, such as personnel decisions and financial transactions.
