Overview
This bill expands New Jersey’s volunteer tuition credit program to include active volunteers and their dependents who are enrolled in four-year public colleges and universities. It also increases the maximum amount of tuition credit that can be received, from $2,400 to $4,000 over a four-year period. To qualify, volunteers must serve for at least four years with a volunteer fire company, first aid squad, or rescue association and maintain a ‘C’ grade average.
