Overview
This bill will require the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) to create and distribute special stickers for electric vehicles. These stickers will indicate that the vehicle is exempt from regular emission inspections. The MVC, in collaboration with the Department of Law and Public Safety, will design and oversee the distribution of these stickers, which will be provided free of charge to vehicle owners and lessees. The stickers must be clearly visible and removed after the vehicle’s ownership or lease period ends.
