Overview
This bill requires all basic life support ambulances and volunteer first aid rescue and ambulance squad vehicles in New Jersey to have a secure, locked box for storing firearms. When someone carrying a firearm is transported in these vehicles, the firearm must be kept inside the locked container. The Department of Health will create regulations to ensure proper implementation of this requirement. This legislation aims to enhance safety during emergency medical transport.
