Overview
This bill requires the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to create public boat access at certain state- and county-owned lakes and reservoirs. The DEP must work with private marina owners to establish access points for boats, both with and without motors. If the DEP cannot provide access due to lack of funding, they must report this to the Governor and the Legislature, detailing the needed funds. The law aims to improve recreational boating opportunities across the state.
