Overview
This bill changes the rules for early voting in New Jersey municipal elections held in May. It allows cities and towns to extend the early voting period from three days to up to seven days. Specifically, municipalities that already offer early voting can now begin the period eight days before the election, instead of the current four days. This change is intended to provide voters with more time to cast their ballots.
