Overview
This bill requires all pet shops, grooming facilities, and pet daycares in New Jersey to install and maintain video monitoring systems. These systems must continuously record activity in areas where animals are cared for and store footage for at least 30 days. The footage will be available to state departments and law enforcement agencies investigating animal welfare or consumer protection issues. Facilities that fail to comply will face civil penalties.
